The following video has become much more popular since being featured on SyFy's "Fact Or Faked: Paranormal Files". The short footage was allegedly captured when the woman seen in the video, began to worry about mysterious bruises that would appear overnight. Thinking that she may have been sleep walking or suffering from some other sleep condition, she set up a camera. What she found when reviewing the video, was shocking enough to convince her to move from her home. The footage also became one of the most popular and discussed pieces of paranormal footage online. Many began to call her case the most aggressive poltergeist activity ever caught on film. But is it real?

The Fact Or Faked team had difficulty reproducing the footage at first. However, with a few more welds, cables and professional video editing software, they were finally able to reproduce the footage. Does this mean that the video is faked? Fact Or Faked (who has been criticized for not trying hard enough to debunk in the past) went all out this time. They created and welded different "levers" that could be used and even incorporated famous magicians illusions. Finally, they ended up using cables and a harness, then going back and editing the video to remove the cables. The verdict? Faked. However, anything can be reproduced with enough time, money and equipment. Being able to reproduce something doesn't always make it fake. In this particular case, I tend to agree with the Fact or Faked teams verdict. The girl seen in the video stands by her story that the video was not a hoax. What do you think? Chernobyl Ghost Town

Pripyat was a town built around a nuclear reactor known as Chernobyl during the 1980's. The town was home to many of the workers at Chernobyl and their families. However, one night in April of 1986 changed the town and everyone near it forever. The nuclear reactor suffered an accident that left Pripyat at the center of the worst nuclear accident in the history of the world. Over 300,000 people were evacuated by the Soviets, but the damage was already done. Besides the workers that were killed in the original explosion of reactor #4, hundreds more died as they tried to rescue and evacuate the town. Even more victims were claimed as hundreds of people for miles around were eventually diagnosed with cancer, due to the radiation. More victims of Chernobyl came in the form of birth defects, as children whose parents were affected by the radiation gave birth to deformed and sickly children. Over two decades later, the town of Pripyat still sits in the same abandoned state that it was left that fateful night in 1986. A dark cloud lingers over this ghost town and memories of the tragedy will never fade. The current population of Pripyat is zero. However, there are those who believe that this number would be much higher, should you count the ghosts that reside in this abandoned town. Haunted Chernobyl For many years, people have reported ghostly shadows and figures, that some say are the spirits of those who lost their lives in the tragedy. Some have even reported being touched or pushed. The town is located in a restricted zone, requiring anyone who visits to pass through a few military checkpoints. This is mostly due to the dangers that the radioactive town could still pose to visitors even today. This doesn't make for ideal ghost hunting conditions. However, this hasn't stopped curious people from visiting the area and experiencing the ghosts of Chernobyl first hand. The most well known of these visits would have to be that of the Destination Truth team, who became the first ever allowed to spend an entire night inside Chernobyl. And of course, the paranormal experiences ensued. Recently, a horror film, made by the director of Paranormal Activity, called "Chernobyl Diaries" has used the tragedy and rumors of ghostly happenings inside Chernobyl as a premise for the film. It is set for release on May 25 2012. The film has drawn criticism for capitalizing from the Chernobyl tragedy, with some saying that it is "too soon" to make such a film. Is nearly 25 years too soon? You can decide that. The accident at Chernobyl is a dark day in the history of our world, no matter how you look at it. Whether you are interested in history, or whether you are a fan of the paranormal, this real life ghost town seems to have much to offer. Ghosts Of Coiba Island Prison

Sitting in remote waters of the Pacific, surrounded by shark infested waters, is one of Panama's most disturbing and haunted places. Coiba Island Prison was used to house some of the most vicious criminals in Panama, as well as political prisoners during the rule of dictators Omar Torrijos and Manuel Noriega. It was during it's time as a prison for political activists, that Coiba saw some of it's darkest days. Prisoners were allegedly beaten, tortured and even dismembered before being fed to the sharks that inhabit the waters surrounding Isla Coiba. The people who were unfortunate enough to end up at Coiba Island because of their political beliefs came to be known as "Los Desaparecidos" or "The Disappeared", as they were usually never seen again. The prison consisted of around 30 different buildings, including a chapel and an eerie jungle graveyard. It was always surrounded by the thick jungles of Panama, but since it's retirement as a prison in 2004, has become overrun by its surroundings. Both plant and wildlife have crept upon the old prison, making the allegedly haunted prison even more menacing in appearance. Tales of paranormal activity have long been associated with Coiba prison. Both former prisoners and employees are open about their experiences and beliefs regarding Isla Coiba. One prisoner is known to have escaped the prison, for reasons that may surprise you. The prisoner fashioned a homemade raft and risked life and limb in a desperate escape. Although he wasn't running from his punishment..He was running from Ghosts. He was unable to remain confined on Isla Coiba because of his immense fear of the ghosts and spirits that inhabited the prison along with him. Another story involves an angry guard, who was seen chasing a prisoner. When the guard finally caught up to the fleeing man, he was horrified to discover that he hadn't been chasing a man at all. Instead, he had been chasing a something not of this world. At least that is what some witnesses described. It is not quite clear what happened when the man discovered that he had been chasing a ghost, but the guard put a bullet in his own head a short while later. Many say that he was so disturbed by what had happened, that he took his own life. You can't help but wonder what the guard must have discovered and whether or not it played a part in his demise. There are many other stories surrounding this remote island in Panama. Ghostly apparitions and blood curdling screams echoing from the prison are commonly reported. The sounds of rusty cell doors slamming shut, footsteps and voices are also reported. One ghost in particular is believed to be a former guard. He was seen frequently by other guards and prisoners. He is said to make his presence known by sliding his night stick across the metal bars as he walks the corridors. It just so happens that this too, is a regularly reported noise heard in Coiba Island Prison. The fear of this prison both during it's time as an active penal colony and afterwards as a place teeming with spirits, has kept most people away and left much of the surrounding jungle untouched. Whether the ghostly activity on the island is the result of emotional pain and tragedy, (as seen in the history of many other haunted prisons) or whether the unmarked jungle graves of former prisoners are to blame, there is certainly something strange about this island. For now the old prison sits in ruin, slowly being swallowed up by the jungle and waiting for the next brave souls who dare to enter it's gates.

Aspley House Pub Ghost Caught On Film?

Regulars at the Apsley House in Southsea, Hants, England have long talked about the ghostly presence of a former barman that lingers within the pub. Bar patrons have reported cold spots, feeling a "presence" in the bar and even having their drinks mysteriously topped off. There have also been those who claimed to have seen the ghost, affectionately nick named "Reedy", at Aspley House. Although until recently, there were only ghost stories to tell. A man by the name of Paul Morgan, may have changed that. He was snapping a picture of his friend during a retirement bash with his i phone. It wasn't until later, that Morgan and friends noticed the mysterious face that appeared in the photograph. Many are claiming that this is a picture of "Reedy" the pub's famous ghost. Morgan says that the ghostly image hasn't slowed down business one bit. People are used to the Aspley House Ghost. Morgan stated:

'The ghost is famous round here now and the pub wouldn't be the same without him.

Couple Sues Landlord After Moving Into Haunted House

Bed sheets pulled from the bed during the night, whispers that seem to come from nowhere and invisible forces pulling at your clothes. It may sound like the latest horror movie, but one New Jersey couple claims that it happened to them..And they are suing because of it. Josue Chinchilla and Michele Callan were forced to abandon their new rental house after living there for only two weeks. The couple claims that all of the above mentioned happened to them. They also claim that clothes would be thrown from the closet by unseen hands, lights would turn on by themselves and that they could constantly hear disembodied footsteps and voices. The paranormal experiences were frightening enough to the family that they fled from the home. Now they would like their deposit back. They also claim to have been traumatized by the event and Josue was hospitalized for panic attacks associated with the alleged ghosts inside of the home. As strange is it may sound, the couples story has been backed up by a local paranormal investigator, who says that the house is the center of an active or intelligent haunting. A pastor from Element Church in North Brunswick, who has visited the home, claims that the house has been infested by a demon. The couple claims that they feared for their children's lives and their own had they stayed inside the home. Michele Callan was quoted:

I would not have hired a moving truck, packed and unpacked, had my mother take off time from work to watch the kids, The whole idea was to get a nice, big home for the kids ... But there's no way I'm going back there.

The landlord of the alleged haunted house is countersuing and claims that the story is made up so that the couple wouldn't have to pay the rent. What do you think?
